Happy Cherry Blossom Season

Happy *NEW SCIENCE* Friday!

The cherry trees are blooming!

The National Park service predicts that the annual cherry blossom blooms will peak sometime between March 22-25. However, spring has already sprung in our Because Science workshop! Made out of circuit boards, resistors, and varistors, these blooms will last forever and can remind us of the wonderful things that happen when science, art, and nature meet up.
So, whether you're coming to DC to see the famous blooms for yourself, or you just wish you were, treat yourself with one of our newest designs.

Meet Dr. Marie Clark Taylor

"As we celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth, we honor the experts who advanced the fields of botany and horticulture, like Dr. Marie Clark Taylor (1911 – 1990). 🌱
The first black woman to receive a Ph.D. in Botany in the United States, Taylor completed her degree while teaching high school full time! Dr. Taylor influenced the use of living specimens in classrooms and worked with the National Science Foundation, helping develop the way we teach science today."
